Kia is a product of Harlemworld, NYC, and spent most of her childhood split between Washington D.C. and Atlanta.   That said, she currently lives and works in EL LAY, California and  has become a willing prisoner of the sunshine and balmy breezes.

 Kia Muze's career is about to round its first circle.  She started out as a 5 year old violinist, added oboe and percussion (with questionable rhythm) to the mix for a time, then moved on to classical voice in college.  College yielded an internship at Rowdy Records/Arista under the helm of Dallas Austin when she joined the girl duo 3rd of July.  They were quickly picked up by the indie label Outhouse Records, but unfortunately that album was never released.  

Kia Muze spent several years in NYC and traveling the country working onstage in musicals most notably with Motown founder Berry Gordy,  then moved to Los Angeles and worked in television.  She has been seen in West Wing, My Boys, and Mind of Mencia among others.  Never departing far from her musical roots, Kia started the production house Mahogany Muze 009 which provides pop and contemporary music for artists as well as film and tv cues to libraries, music supervisors and publishers. She has also worked at music software companies such as East West and Native Instruments. Kia's own project, Superhero is due in 2013.  It is electro-rocknb which is masquerading as pop these days.  It will be distributed by 1 Nation World Groove.
